Kim Thomson Tutor for Jewellery and Silversmithing
Kim has been silversmithing since 1997, and had 3 years, full time training while obtaining an honours degree in Jewellery Metalwork Techniques. She has been a professional tutor for over 15 years.
Her classes are mixed level – suitable for complete beginners as well as those looking to progress and many of her students have gone on to set up their own part and full-
She teaches all her classes with an emphasis on student lead practice, were everyone has full control over what they choose to make, whilst still having access to plenty of technical help, demonstrations and advice, including online student resources to help those who wish to carry on their skills at home. Kim is experienced in tailoring her sessions to a range of learning styles and physical abilities to make silversmithing accessible and enjoyable.
